AI Engineer - Software Development Background

My client is growing a GenAI and agentic engineering team that ships production systems into some of the most complex, highly regulated organisations across Sydney. They are looking for strong AI Engineers who actually understand what's happening under the hood, not just how to consume a model, but how to architect around one.

What you'll actually be doing
  • Architecting and building GenAI and agentic systems that go into production
  • Taking systems from build through deployment through live operation in enterprise environments
What experience you will need:
  • 5+ years building enterprise grade software
  • Genuine strength across Python, .NET, Java, React, TypeScript
  • Experience across CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Docker, ECS/EKS, AKS, ACI, Container Apps
  • Bedrock or SageMaker, or Azure ML / Azure OpenAI
  • Agent frameworks - LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or Google ADK
AI depth:
  • You understand GenAI, building and operating GenAI systems beyond a managed API.
  • You've worked with LLMs and SLMs at the level of selecting, adapting and optimising them
  • You've built agentic and multi-agent systems
