Nuage is partnered with an award winning large scale technology first business. The Opportunity growth technology business is undergoing a major cloud cost optimisation initiative.

About the role:
To achieve this, they are re-architecting away from AWS-heavy workloads and moving toward bare metal infrastructure hosted in data centres, with a focus on performance, control, and cost efficiency.
This is a greenfield Kubernetes build with real impact, not incremental change. The Role You’ll take ownership of designing and deploying Kubernetes on bare metal, using EKS Anywhere as the control plane. As well as taking ownership of what critical AWS services need to be optimised, redesigned and work with the team on what can be migrated and deployed on Baremetal DC's.

What you'll be doing:

Design and deploy Kubernetes clusters on bare metal infrastructure
Implement and optimise EKS Anywhere environments
Support migration of workloads from AWS to on-prem / colo environments
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation
Identify and reduce cloud cost inefficiencies (FinOps mindset)
Contribute to platform reliability, scalability, and observabilityAbout you:
Lead the build-out of a production-grade Kubernetes platform on bare metal
Drive migration of existing services from AWS into the new environment
Help shape infrastructure architecture decisions during a critical transition phase
Improve efficiency, reliability, and cost profile of the platform
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (production environments)
Experience with EKS (or similar managed Kubernetes platforms)
Solid understanding of infrastructure outside of cloud (bare metal / hybrid environments)
Proven background in DevOps / Platform Engineering
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation

Nice to Have:

Experience with EKS Anywhere
Exposure to bare metal providers / data centre environments
Terraform or Infrastructure as Code experience
Experience with AWS cost optimisation / FinOps
Familiarity with Cloudflare or CDN replacement strategies
Strong observability / monitoring experience (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana)
